چکیده

Background: It is well understood that the high environmental heat significantly affects the brain physiology of mammals, particularly the sleep and behavior of the subjects. The objective of the present work is to quantify the effects of acclimatization to the high environmental heat on sleep and behavioral activities in heat stress conditions. Methods: The polygraphic data involved simultaneous recor (EOG), and electromyogram (EMG) were recorded both on chart as well as in digital format to study the sleep three different age groups of freely moving rats following exposur into four groups: the acute heat stress group, subjected to a single exposure of 4h at 38°C in the biological oxygen demand ( incubator; the chronic heat stress group, exposed for 21 days, for 21 days of chronic heat acclimatization and the handling control group. Open field and elevated plus analyzed following different exposure setup of high environmental h Results: The analyses of results suggest that acclimatization to the high environmental heat significantly alters the effects of acute exposure of high environmental heat on different sleep Conclusion: Acclimatization to environmental heat shifts the thermoregulatory set and behavior have been observed.

Maloyan, Alina, Aaron Palmon, and Michal Horowitz. Heat acclimation increases the basal HSP72 level and alters its production dynamics during heat stress. Am. J. Physiol. 276 (Regulatory Integrative Comp. Physiol. 45): R1506–R1515, 1999.—It has been previously shown that heat acclimation leads to an elevated basal level of 72-kDa heat shock protein (HSP72). Augmented expression of HSP72 is cons...

Core temperature and sweating onset in humans acclimated to heat given at a fixed daily time.

The thermoregulatory functions of rats acclimated to heat given daily at a fixed time are altered, especially during the period in which they were previously exposed to heat. In this study, we investigated the existence of similar phenomena in humans. Volunteers were exposed to an ambient temperature (Ta) of 46°C and a relative humidity of 20% for 4 h (1400-1800) for 9-10 consecutive days. In t...

Heat acclimation in rats: modulation via lipid polyunsaturation.

Heat acclimation of rats has been shown to enhance endurance of rat hearts to ischemic insult and acute heat stress. Common protective features have been shown to be operative during both these stress-inducing conditions. To explore the role of membrane lipid composition in the adaptive response, we analyzed two major parameters that impact membrane dynamics and order, the nonesterified cholest...

beta-Adrenergic signaling and thyroid hormones affect HSP72 expression during heat acclimation.

Heat acclimation upregulates 72-kDa heat shock protein (HSP72) and predisposes to faster activation of the heat shock response (HSR). This study investigates the role played by beta-adrenergic signaling and/or plasma thyroxine level in eliciting these features by using rats undergoing 1) heat acclimation (AC; 34 degrees C, 2 and 30 days); 2) AC with beta-adrenergic blockade; 3) AC-maintained eu...
